amazingly Blue Lake
Crater Lake is in a crater about 60 miles NW of Klamath Falls, in south-central Oregon.
It is the main feature of Crater Lake National Park and is famous for its deep blue color and water clarity. The lake partly fills a nearly 2148 foot deep caldera that was formed about 150 years ago by the collapse of the Volcano Mount Mazama. With a depth of 1949 feet, the lake is the deepest in the US.
Indescribable beauty of nature. When you drive through Rim village from west to east rim you can see the extra ordinary striking blue color water of the lake. What makes the lake more beautiful is the unique volcano island named Wizard Island.
